Visby City Wall

- Medieval defensive wall surrounding the Swedish town of Visby, on the island of Gotland
- As the strongest, most extensive, and best preserved medieval city wall in Scandinavia, the wall forms an important and integral part of Visby
- It was built in two stages during the 13th and 14th century
- During the 18th century, fortifications were added to the wall in several places and some of the towers rebuilt to accommodate cannons
Vasa Museum

- Maritime museum in Stockholm that displays the only almost fully intact 17th-century ship that has ever been salvaged, the 64-gun warship Vasa that sank on her maiden voyage in 1628
- The ship sank after sailing roughly 1,300 m (1,400 yd)
- Vasa fell into obscurity after most of her valuable bronze cannons were salvaged in the 17th century, until she was located again in the late 1950s in a busy shipping area in Stockholm harbor
- Since her recovery, Vasa has become a widely recognized symbol of the Swedish Empire
Icehotel, Jukkasjärvi
Best time to visit: Jan-April, Dec
Cost: $
- Hotel in northern Sweden, that is rebuilt each year with snow and ice in the village of Jukkasjärvi, and is the world's first ice hotel
- After its first opening in 1990, the hotel has been rebuilt each year from December to April
- The hotel, including the chairs and beds, is constructed from snow and ice blocks taken from the nearby Torne River
- Artists are invited to create different rooms and decorations made of ice
Stockholm Palace

- Official residence and major royal palace of the Swedish monarch
- The offices of the King, the other members of the Swedish royal family, and the Royal Court of Sweden are there
- The royal residence has been in the same location in Stockholm since the middle of the 13th century when the Tre Kronor Castle was built
Drottningholm Palace

- Private residence of the Swedish royal family, near the capital Stockholm, built on the island Lovön
- It was originally built in the late 17th century, and it served as a regular summer residence of the Swedish royal court for most of the 18th century
Moderna Museet

- State museum for modern and contemporary art located in Stockholm, and opened in 1958
- The museum houses Swedish and international modern and contemporary art, including pieces by Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dalí and a model of the Tatlin's Tower

ABBA The Museum

- Swedish interactive exhibition about the pop band ABBA that opened in Stockholm, in 2013
- It is the permanent home for the traveling ABBAWORLD exhibit that toured Europe and Australia in 2009–2011, and houses stage costumes donated by the band members
- There are also several interactive audio and video stations that allow visitors to perform the band's music
Stockholm City Hall

- Seat of Stockholm Municipality that houses offices and conference rooms as well as ceremonial halls, completed in 1923
- It is the venue of the Nobel Prize banquet
