- Salzburg Cathedral still contains the baptismal font in which composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was baptized
Schönbrunn Palace

St. Stephen's Cathedral

- The current Romanesque and Gothic form of the cathedral, seen today in the Stephansplatz, was largely initiated by Duke Rudolf IV (1339–1365) and stands on the ruins of two earlier churches, the first a parish church consecrated in 1147
- With its multi-coloured tile roof, it has become one of the city's most recognizable symbols
Hofburg

Belvedere

- Historic building complex in Vienna, consisting of two Baroque palaces, the Orangery, and the Palace Stables
- The grounds are set on a gentle gradient and include decorative tiered fountains and cascades, Baroque sculptures, and wrought iron gates
- The Baroque palace complex was built as a summer residence for Prince Eugene of Savoy, who was commander-in-chief, and achieved a series of successful wars against the Ottoman Empire
Vienna State Opera

Kunsthistorisches Museum

- It is the largest art museum in the country, and was opened around 1891
- The emperor Franz Joseph I commissioned the two Ringstraße museums to create a suitable home for the Habsburgs' formidable art collection and to make it accessible to the general public
- The interiors of the museums are lavishly decorated with marble, stucco ornamentation, gold-leaf, and murals
Albertina
